Discord and updates: One week in!

Hello Everyone!

It's been exactly one week since the kickstarter pushed off, and we're over 25%! Thank you everyone for the great start!

A few updates, we've implemented inertial scrolling so menus won't get crowded and will be easier to navigate. It'll also make the transition to mobile even easier, in general we're building everything with the mobile ports in the back of our minds so navigation can be seamless across different platforms.

We've also implemented notifications, as can be seen in our UI view

which will pop up whenever an event occurs. We're hoping for varied gameplay during different times of the year with unexpected events like spikes in demand, a tariff on alcohol imports, Syn Corp. releasing a new technology, a news article featuring your businesses appearing, etc. Most future upgrades on the bar will only effect gameplay rather than actually adding to the aesthetic of the bar, so it'll be time to move on to different environments very soon.

Also, we'd like to announce our Discord, where you can give advice or suggestions about what you'd like to see in the game. We'll also be reaching out to founders and backers of the top pledge, since we'll be needing information about some of the reach goals/characters created and discord seems like a good medium for such conversation. We'll try to have be online during work hours on the weekdays, but if we're not around feel free to write anyway, we'll read everything!
